The IXEG 737 Classic for example which has at least the potential to be a game changer, the PMDG DC6 (god knows what PMDG will develop for XP10 if the DC6 is turning out successful, then all hell breaks loose probably :D) or the EADT Boeing 737-800 version 5 which is going to come in early May with a very decent virtual cockpit which is going to be quite promising for being freeware. The Boeing 777, commonly pronounced " Triple Seven" is a wide-body jet airliner manufactured by Boeing Commercial Aircraft beginning in 1995. We already have some very nice planes (like the B767 as an airliner or the Carenado with Reality Expansion Packs and Airfoillabs in the general aviation sector) and there are very cool aircraft in the pipeline. There are a lot of good things to come, actually. The general movement in the aircraft sector for XP10 is quite promising, anyway. So there are nice things coming to the A320neo but still you'd get the more complete plane with the B767 for the time being. The A330 is the same level of system-depth basically but the atmosphere is already a lot better than in the A320neo and the scroll-wheel support is then also going to come.
#VMAX 767 UPDATE#
There will be an update for the A320neo around as far as I know, though, to put it on the level of the A330 by JARDesign which will be quite nice. But the difference between the two of them is quite huge and one should be aware of it before making a decision. I just wanted to point out that yes the Boeing 767 by FF is currently the most sophisticated and usable aircraft on the Boeing fleet for XP10 and the A320neo is certainly the most polished and at the same time usable aircraft on the Airbus-fleet. Sorry for that long text, I did not mean to write a review (though this would have been a lot more extensive for each product). I really love the scroll-wheel manipulation of the rotating knobs (like on the MCP) in the FF products and so I miss it very much on the A320 where it's not nearly as comfortable. The sounds are not nearly as immersive as in the FF products, many buttons in the Airbus cockpit do not even have a buttonclick sound or something like it. It looks okay but one notices it's quite a bit older that the 75 and 76. The A320neo though is not even a match for the 75, I have to admit. The virtual cockpit looks very nicely modelled, the sounds in the cockpit create a very immersive atmosphere the 757 did not have yet. What is most convincing, in my opinion, is the whole packaging of the 767.

There are some quirks in the Flight Factor products, as well, but I feel more comfortable to just leave for 10 minutes to grab something to eat than in the JARDesign product. But that's just an addendum, the A320neo by JARDesign is certainly the most used Airbus A320 for X-Plane 10 because it's generally usable because of a custom-made FMS.īut the A320neo by JARDesign still has some bugs in it that can occur from time to time and that requires the vPilot to stay on top of the game all the time to counteract some things like switching down to HDG select if, that used to happen from time to time, maybe it's fixed in the meantime, the autoflight would decide to just quit following the route entered in the MCDU and just turn away from a long straight into an indefinitely long orbit. The systems are quite nicely put together, the flight behaviour seems very convincing. One could look into the (rather aged, but fully compatible with the currect X-Plane versions, one has to admit) A320-family by Peter Hager which currently does not have a custom-made FMS but one should be in development according to Peter Hager. If you want system-depth, you won't have too much fun with the A320neo by JARDesign. That's a given and this is to understand and accept. The A320 is in no way a match for the state-of-the-art 767.įirst of all, the A320neo is not intended to have a deep system-simulation as the FF Boeing aircraft. The comparison to the 767 (or even the 757) is rather "unfair" if one wants to put it that way.

What I have to say something about is the A320neo by JARDesign. The 767 was a remarkable step from the 757, indeed.
